sounds like you guys put money in cameras at the same rate as your knives <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> I've got about $4-5k in my camera bag. Probably not worth that now, as fast as it depreciates. One of my camera bodies was nearly $3k new, and I paid over $1800 used for it. Cameras depreciate, but good glass holds its value well. Yep! My D2h is worth about $400 now, give or take. But it was a beast and carried me through 5 years of working in the newspaper business. I've got a couple f2.8 lenses and a couple f4.0 lenses that will serve me for many more years. But it's probably overkill for me now that I'm not shooting for a living.

Serious photogs have more invested in their glass than the body, especially in the digital age where a new model comes out every other month. Keep the glass, upgrade the body.

That photo has a good moment. But there was too much boring background in it. No point in the tree or that pole on the right. Not showing the tree kind of makes in interesting as he hangs from the sky. (ALL PHOTOGRAPHY IS SUBJECTIVE so take this with a grain of salt) i agree im new to this..i knew when i took the pic...i didnt need the shephards hook in there,,,,,,but i have the basic software...and not too much knowledge on editing...or the know how......signed...newb from georgia <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Camera bodies are almost disposable now, which pains me to say considering what I have in the two I own. I probably won't buy another for a long while though, since it's only a hobby now.
