en route i have a SOG Tech Bowie i won on ebay this morning for $70. pretty eager to get my hands on it and beat the snot out of it.
now, to discuss 7" knives.

Couple of the deputies that I work with carry the SOG Tridents, and they're decent knives, but I like Kershaws for the same price range.

now, to discuss 7" knives. I've got two 7 inch blades, the Son of Dogfather and the DeRegulator. Love both of them, but the Dereg has it by a nose.

we also passed by a mil surp store, where i handled the kabar pestilence. it needs a reprofile but i'm pleased with it otherwise. I own the Pestilence and find it to be a quality chopper. Plus, it comes with skeleton knife at a great price. I did have to fix the edge, but I enjoy that kind of stuff.

i had a ranger assault knife, which i liked but didn't love.
i had a recon scout which i gifted immediately.
i had a buck 119 which was pleasant, but didn't get much use.
the double cut dumpster mutt's were gone as soon as they arrived.
the 5" to 8" knife never really did it for me, except the m2k and the cs long hunter. both very light, very thin, and very sharp.
