I'm not sure the 9-11 will be handier.

I prefer the 4-6 inch blades myself, I just feel they're handier. If I need to chop on something, I'll use an axe or hatchet. (Or a chainsaw LOL)

i'm trying to like my trail master as much as everyone else loves theirs but i just can't.
the rtak2 was much better and cost less. i think the pestilence will beat it too, once i put it to the belt sander.

yeah, big heavy knives are tough to feather a stick with. I forget who posted it, but I have been able to make fuzzy stick with my DF as easy as with any other blade using his technique. Stab the knife into a log, hold the handle and move the stick, not the blade. Works great

i have a 3V scandi from dan koster that ROCKS. it was only $50 for the blade blank, you just had to finish the edge and add slabs, but i cord wrapped it.

The wardog resides in my day pack. If I hike or ATV it goes with me.
