WOW, how time flies when you're having fun. Didn't realize it was that time of the day!

Peace and rest to you my friend, may all your days be as relaxing as a day on a hot trout stream.

night rth!

realized I been up since 10am... not sure how much longer I'll be around.

had to go back to one of the pack threads to remember what I had decided on. think it was the tactical tailor urban operator. but the only video on utube the guy sold his cause he said it wasn't confortable.

guess I'll keep looking...

TT are comfortable,at least my 3 day assault pack is. Course only ones I owned before this were the cheapest kind I could find.

think it's going to come down to trail and error when finding a bag.

mapped sitka looked good on paper but I didn't like it for my purposes. I'm just not that organized...

I'm kinda with you, a lot of pockets are nice, but they always wind up being the wrong size for what I want to put in them.

would rather have very few compartments and just setup smaller task oriented kits to go inside than to have a bunch of individual items jammed in there all the time. looking for a edc pack to give me a better idea how I would handle a shtf pack.

It's not an easy plan to execute just the way you want. And yeah, I'm like you, different containers for different items (different colors for like FAK, fire, water purification, etc.) would be real handy.

Right now I'm looking for a small pouch to carry a firesteel (DT Wonder Rod) and a striker along with a 3/8 inch thick magnesium rod along with an eyelet or a loop for one of his PJCBM containers.

i know whenever I dig through the crap in my storage unit I find stuff that will work for this, that, or the other. I have and old canvas bag that came apart after 20 years. if I was to learn to sew I bet I couple make something.

hmm... I actually might look into a cheap way to stitch stuff together for the smaller packs.
