Todd I love that rifle. I put in A wild west guns trigger and ghost ring sights. Its a pleasure to shoot. I didn't like the way they mount their sights so I mounted the rear sight backwards and it works very well.

I've only got two non-scoped levers. Thinking of taking the scopes off a couple more. It's just nice being able to see things more clearly 100 yards out <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I have never had a scope on a lever gun. I think I only own 4 rifles that have scopes mounted.
The rest are iron sights or Holo sights.

Well, in my defense, at least one of my levers is designed to be a 200-300 yard gun. Having a scope helps <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> Although, I suppose the 45-70 was a 1000 yard gun long before they had scopes....
