my m2k was given the royal treatment. maintaining the factory angle, i brought both bevels in a bit on diamond stones up to 2000 grit, then 100 strops per side with green jeweler's rouge to a mirror finish.
it retains that edge fantastically and melts through hard wood.

I find many of the cheap Chinese and Taiwanese blades to be as good

If you're gonna use it for fishing, get the stainless model. I have the carbon steel model and it rusts if you look at it wrong.
