I have very little pain with what I am doing now. I usually do three miles at a pop on the treadmill. I am doing light jogging as well. I need to drop some weight before I go full tilt running any distance again though.

When I was stationed in Japan, I rode a bicycle all the time and ran probably 3 times a week, two or three miles each time. I actually got where I liked it!

I dislike running. But I do like the benefits.

I can't stand running. Never could, even when I was able.

I just do it because I need to. I like lifting weights but it doesn't have all of the same benefits. I have been doing that as well.

My knees are in such bad shape that I'll never be able to run even if I lose the weight.

My knee cap will eventually need replacing but other than that I'm good to go. I only have mild arthritis.

Old age is hell, isn't it.

I have an urge to get to the gym and lift weights in a serious matter, but i´m lacking time again. I don´t want to miss my escrima lessons and then there are work, two kids and my lovely MRS with her hobbies... It´s bugging me but can´t help it at the time. I´d like to train with weights 4 times per week.

Its not so bad yet. Losing weight is making all the difference in the world for me right now. Losing more and keeping it off will be the trick.

I'm 45 and feel like I'm 65 most days. It's really hit me hard the last few years.
