Carolina style can be so many different ways here. Tomato based, vinegar based or mustard based? And that's just the meat! Slaw or no slaw, pickles, etc. Barbecue is big up here, lol.

If I'm ever in Woodbine I'm definately looking that place up!

Big here. But every time I order it with slaw, I get the old "You must not be from around here, that's Carolina style". I like the vinegar based with just a tough of hot. My kin are from TN and thats the way they ate it.

The place is called Capt Stan's on US 17. It didn't even need any sauce. Nice, tender pork, with a good smokey flavor. Good stuff, and the place has a cool bar too. Bikers love it.

I like mine with a sweet tomato based sauce and a little cole slaw.

They had tomato based, mustard based, and hot. I didn't even try the sauce. That meat didn't need a thing.

My wife likes it without sauce too. If its cooked right, I can eat it plain too.

I'll usually at least get it plain before hitting it with sauce. Sometimes you get lucky.

Susan's band, The Beach Blondes, plays there sometimes. I didn't even know it existed. She love good barbeque and trashy biker bars. Capt Stan's has it all.
