Politicians should concentrate improving national mental healthcare not bannig the guns. Of course banning is easier...

Most guns used for criminal activities are probably not bought legally. So the laws hit the wrong people. Thoes who want a gun for bad deeds, will get a gun, no matter what the law says. But agreed, there should me some controll.

It is a funny saying (with the picture in mind) that the world is going down the toilet because of some happening and usually said when we are saying that we just can't live with it any longer.

Well, here in DK we have all the wellfare we need.
Hospitals are free for all, and students are paid to go to school.
But, yes, most politicians just ban thing to cover their A..'s

Eventually DK will go down the toilet. Thats for sure. 6 million poeple live here, but only about 1'5 million actually work. The rest and students, old people, and people on support from our wellfare system. That will not work forever!

You are SO correct! Now if the Coneheads in government would only realize this, things could start getting better. Changing ONE bad law at a time.

In society there are three groups that will always have guns: military, police and criminals.

As for knives, the only legal knife to carry, is a knife like the Boker Cox. Under 2,8" long, and slip joint.
I have to carry my knives in a bag, until I reach the woods, before I can fix them to my belt <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/sad.gif" alt="" />

I heard once, many years ago and don't remember where, something similar to the following.

Government disarms it's people because they know that with arms (guns and knives) the people can and eventually will remove the "Fat Cats" from office as long as they continue to NOT LISTEN to the people they are supposed to represent.

As Timo said earlier, it is just too big a mountain to climb if you want to change it. I have my vote, but that is just a drop in a very big pool of votes, who do not care about guns and knives.
