She sees the endocrinologist on the 5th of June. She had some tests Friday and she is supposed to have AT LEAST an ultrasound at the office. If she has the surgery we are going to St. Louis. There isn't any endocrine surgeons around here, and seeings how the 4 glads are located so close to her voice box she wants to make sure she has someone used to working in that area.

Dr gave me a pretty good health report, said my diabetes is well under control, but he is not happy about my blood pressure. Average is probably medium high 130's (say 136-139 average). Told me I have to walk several times a week and to loose 20 pounds at least. IF I don't get my BP down to at least 130 in 30 days I have to double up on my BP med. I would rather not do that. The lower number is in the low to mid 80's, right around where it should be.

Yup, doing pretty good. We were going to have a meeting after church sunday night but realized it's memorial day so we put it off a week. We're going to offer him a job as Interim pastor. We don't want to go to quick this time like they did with the other guy. It's a permanent position, but NOT THE pastors position, if that makes any sense.

I guess I should say it is a permanent position that still allows us to let him go at any time without having a full congregation vote. The Deacons and pulpit committee could let him go as an interim. He's an ole style preacher, isn't the best orator (and HE has said that) but he DOES care and it REALLY shows, and that is what we need, at least for now. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Reverend Morgan is the pastor at the church my grandmother used to go to.
I have a huge amount of respect for him.
When my grandmother was bedridden and couldn't leave the care facility, he visited her at least once a week for years.
He was her pastor for at least 25 years, and to my mind he represents what a pastor should be.
He is a truly caring person
