I have to pic and choose too. 2011 Blade show pics I saw the Argonne Assault. I was really disappointed when it came clear that I can't afford it.

I broke down and bought a custom baton for work. My wooden excaliber. Got tired of carrying an expandable and I don't care for the polymer one I used 20 years ago.

Its made of Bubinga. Lighter and a littler harder than Hickory. A police Officer in Baltimore made it for me. Now I am learning to twirl it. Just because its tradition.

I like the fact that the expandable is always on your belt. I hate that the energy transfer is nothing comapred to a regular straight baton. Plus you can't do control holds and the expandables are shorter and way thinner.
I took mine out to take a guy down that was coming after me and it was not as affective as I would have liked it to be.
Back to a straight baton and I went with a custom because I like tradition and its just plain cool.
