My other computer is back up and running with the cloned drive. The cool part is I am finally able to get some of my old programs put back onto this new hard drive from one of my old ones. It was worth 50 bucks to not have to buy a new operating system and be able to retrive data from old hard drives. Makes me a happy camper so far.

Maybe backuping or maybe there is some kind of temporarily arrangement that is weaker than supposed. Or it's just done badly...?

In reality I know very little about computers. I am also very cheap at times. I am mechanically inclined but computer challenged. So I googled everything I needed to know about changing all this stuff before I did it. It was the first time doing it. I am surprised it has gone as well as it has.
Time will tell if it was a success or not.
