I don't understand the concern. curuiosityt I understand, but concern I don't. I have beaten the hell out of every Scrap Yard blade I own, a humble few, yet I have never had one fail.

I have broken blades away from the handle before, but it was never a blade with an actual tang.

Worrying about the strength of a tang (I am not assuming this is what your post is about, just voicing my thoughts) is something only people who do destruction tests should worry about.

I have yet to meet a person who had a Busse Kin or any other reputable knife company blade fail in the line of duty.

Well, thatks my two cents. Please return the change.

Tangs can vary from handle to handle.

For instance the Regulator tang was designed to hold more Res C up front for the guard while accommodating the thicker blade.

Be assured that all tang designs meet my insanity for performance requirements

I hope this helps

Dan

I don't know about the other dogs, but I would be interested in a pic of the different tangs just to see what they look like out of curiosity.

Hi jj,
Not concerned but very curious. I was asked by a lot of people recently showing off the 7 and 3. I show off the knives to a lot of people. In person and on other forums. ( always trying to get new people interested in the yard!) and they all ask . I'm supposed to be a knife guy
so in their minds I'm supposed to know everything. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" />

And really, I don't think it's all that odd of a request. I'm the one showing it off praising the merits of the Yards knives, I should be able o answer a common question such as tang design, length etc.

Thanks jj

Hi Dan, I'm not doubting your work, heck I brag about the yard o everyone that will listen. But being " that crazy knife guy that will not shut up about knives" they got me recently when I was showing off the 11 series. They asked me and I couldn't answer.

So I thought I would go to the source. Any help would be great.
Thanks <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
