I'd prefer a barong.

There's one in every crowd!

I'd take one with the exact blade shape of the one you posted. Res C would definitely be a plus. I would not want one if it was thick and heavy though. That is one of the great things about a khukuri - the blade shape does a lot of the work so it does not need to be a beast to perform. I do not work out of my truck and often have to carry stuff when I'm in the field, so I prefer the least amount of mass that will still get the job done.

fwiw, I always thought that SY was the best choice for a good value in a working knife! So good idea!!

Rn, I've never used one, But I'm a team player. You want one bad so I'm in. Put me down for two please!

Dan this would make a great debut at Blade, and make your brother jealous!

Hum... another interesting ploy to get Dan to cave into the "Masses"! But what about those of us who are NOT left handed?

Oh hey, you done any more research about what kind of handgun you're gonna get?

Kukris- The knife that can cross the political divide!

Got my ppwk in to the police Monday. After they clear me I'm gonna bag that new Ruger SR22 and just have fun with it and try and develop some fundamental pistol skills. I'll see if a heavier caliber makes sense after. Been enjoying my Marlin and shot another pistol last weekend and continue to generally suck as a pistol shot! lol...sad, but true!

Well since I got tired of waiting to see if Dan was going to do a Khukri, I piked one up from a local maker here in OK. It is made out of 5160 truck spring, and wrapped hemp handle. Well I know now for sure that if Dan makes a Khukri in SR77 or 101 I am in like Flynn. Thus far the Khukri is the easiest chopping tool that I have tried in a pack sized piece of steel.

Dan, I plead with you to bring out a Khukri that the Yard can have!!!

Good Job RN! Stay with the small stuff until you are comfortable AND proficient. Then you can move up to the larger stuff. Oh and tell your wife, that they ARE out there, and you never know when they will single out you or your family. The world is getting worse every day.

IF you choose to NOT protect yourself, you ARE choosing to be a victim.
