Nice pics Sar!!! Thanks for all of the comparison shots.
I just opened mine up....wooooo baby!! It's a great size / design. The handle is much thinner than I expected...and I'm happy about it. The handle grooves feel great in hand....I was concerned they may be a bit aggressive like the Sar 3, but it is very natural feeling. He grooves are rather smooth, but give a god amount of grip as well.
Swamp nailed it with this one. The only thing I "might" change is to shave down the guard just a bit. Otherwise, Im taking a liking to it.

Does it in any way compare to the RMD?

I'll take a picture tonight, comparing it with the 4"ers I have in hand.

Ran to the post office before closing. I'm having a little trouble with the handle...grind looks great, bigger than I thought, even with the great pics. Gotta think on this one...maybe use it anyway...see what it's got!

Very nice pics, I would love to pull the trigger on Rodent 4 but do to issues beyond my control, I'll have to sit his out for a bit. I love the looks of your new addition, enjoy it.

Had the paper in the mailbox and went straight to the PO and signed for it. I like it a bunch and to me the handle is better than I thought from the pictures.

How does it feel compared to the HRLM? The only reason I haven't ordered a R4 is that I love my HRLM so much, BUT I wouldn't mind it being a bit lighter.

Ran to the post office before closing. I'm having a little trouble with the handle...grind looks great, bigger than I thought, even with the great pics. Gotta think on this one...maybe use it anyway...see what it's got! Sorry to see it's not sitting well with ya. Have you adapted to the handle at all, yet? It is thinner than I expected, but I like it for a belt knife. This one is screaming to be the new truck knife. I don't know how it will fair in any one job...doubt it will excel at many...but it is an interesting blend of most of what I need for versatility. It's a mean looking knife, stout as a beast, and could be used for some bushcraft if in a pinch. I took a few pics to compare against the 4"ers that I have in hand currently (Jeff has a few of mine for leather...will post a better pic in the future). Bottom / Up: SS4, Fiddleback Terasaur, Rodent 4, Basic 4 ![[Linked Image from i99.photobucket.com]](http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l287/Izhmash/Rodent4Comparison2.jpg) Spine Shots, same order...bad background for this picture, but I was in a hurry. It highlights the thin handle on the Rodent 4 though, and blade thickness is on par with the SS4...Basic 4 is next...and the Terasaur is the thinnest @ 1/8". ![[Linked Image from i99.photobucket.com]](http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l287/Izhmash/Rodent4Comparison.jpg)
