Manly man or fool? Same thing sometimes no? ha ha haaa! Although a line from my favorite English poet came to mind a few times during this chop fest..."If the fool persists in his folly he'll become wise..."..or something like that... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> I'm kinda doubting the validity of that! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I was wearing gloves for awhile...they didn't cut it and gave my my first blister...

Only folks here understand this...my wife kinda shook her head and said "what are you doing?"

I was glad to finish that tree!

After I checking my winning megamillions ticket, I will be buying a nice chain saw though! hah!

On a more serious note, I was pretty surprised there was no edge damage and it could still cut paper as well as it did...now that's impressive! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

That edge was done by Horn Dog at some point and was crazy sharp and thinned out. Some serious steel... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" />

Ah, a Horn Dog edge. THAT explains it all! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> But you did have a small contribution to the destruction. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Even with Res-C, I'd recommend a soft leather work glove; I'm not talking the cheap by-the-dozen at Harbor Freight kind, but a good pair that really fit. Not that I don't do things where I end up thinking I should have grabbed a pair of gloves. Those wounds look painful and are in places that'll remind you whenever you use that hand for a while.

Aren't you glad it broke in two when it hit the ground?!

If it was in one piece you might not have been able to drag it off the trail and would have needed to chop it again!

Hah! Right you are. As it was I used a large limb as a lever to move it..weighed a ton! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

There was just no saving my hand...my gloves aren't bad...but that was a loooooong time chopping and I have some soft social worker office hands! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/paperbag.gif" alt="" />

And like was mentioned...forgetting the weddding ring doesn't help either! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I think we should start a thread about the biggest things we've chopped...this would be my entry! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/loopy.gif" alt="" />

I once chopped down a sequoia tree with a Scrapivore. I'd post pics, but I think it may be illegal to chop them down and I don't want the proof spreding around the internet. Anyway, I still got you beat.

Oh yeah, I didn't get a blister either.

If that is your reasoning for believing me ... hell, who am I to correct you? Oooh-rah!
