Damon, I don't mean they impacted sideways. I meant they went through the same hole or just widened the hole that was there from the last round.

Down south we call both a sideways hit and a hit through the same hole a keyhole shot.

ah, gotcha. I was thinking the "sideways" deal. Thanks for the pics of the connection too BTW. Looks like a nice setup that I... er my daughter, will need to pick up.

FWIW, I would avoid Remington Subs, they are known to be a bit dirtier than most, and are definitely louder...with some being super sonic out of my 10/22.

CCI subs have been great...at least in my guns w/ can.

I also have that tacsol extended mag release and like it. It is a legitimate one-hander which is much better than the old flush mag release that came with my gun. I have seen that Ruger now has their own extended mag release and I have not used one of those to be able to comment on how the tacsol may, or may not be better. have fun!

Thanks for the advice. Not much experience with suppressors, so I will heed you advise on the matter.

I believe Mastiff may have recommended upgrading the mag released based on the old 10/22 mag releases. I don't know though since I don't recall what the old ones look like. This is what is on mine,

JJ, with that tacsol release I would be afraid it would be to easy to hit on things and dump your magazine. Now IF you were to chop it of after the second bend from the stock, where it seems to turn back under the safety. That might be the best of both worlds, Don't know for sure though.

cutting it down would defeat the design of Being able to eject the mag while maintainiing a proper grip

I had already thought of that, but still thought it was better than accidentally bumping something without knowing it and loosing a mag or mags.

I am going to get one and see if that is an issue. We'll see.

I hope that it won't be a problem. Real handy to be able to do a mag dump and reload with just one hand.

JJ, that is a neat little package you have there. I saw one at my LGS the other day and thought how neat a truck/BOB package that would be. Is there anyone making a threaded brl for it? I was thinking that someone could cut and thread the one but then that would loose the iron sights and make it a optic only but that was about as far as I thought about it since my gun and knife fund is 0 right now.

BTW, that should be a great zombie eradication kit too!

I have had that tacsol release on my 10/22 for 2 or 3 years now and the accidental dump has yet to happen. FWIW, on my gun at least, you have to move that "lever" quite a distance before the mag releases. Also, my release has a bit of play in it too, while typically a negative, I think that in this case such also helps to mitigate the "AD." FWIW, the lever sits much closer to the trigger guard than that pic (understand that was not the purpose of the pic). The one negative that I have experienced with it is when I had the BC folding stock on as well and between the pistol grip and the release there was not much room for the first knuckle...other than that, I think it is a nice addition. Yeah, JJ, that is the "new" one, I have never used one of those to be able to compare with the tacsol.

I haven't seen anywhere selling threaded barrels. A local gun smith is going to thread mine. He is going to remove the front sight and moved it back about an inch. I wouldn't do it if I had to lose the iron sights.

I will be hunting the zombie rabbits tomorrow.
