I'm not familiar with this style of 10-22, but if the inner workings are the same as a standard 10-22, here's some advice that I posted on a previous thread:

One of the GREAT things about a Ruger 10-22 is the available modifications you can make to the rifle. Midway USA (www.midwayusa.com) and Volquartsen (www.volquartsen.com) are good companies that I’ve dealt with and been satisfied with their products.

Strongly suggest you get an extended magazine release, an automatic bolt release (if you’re good with a Dremel, you can mod your existing bolt release), and an exact edge extractor. These are the minimum mods that I perform on 10-22’s. I also like a Hogue OverMolded stock mentioned by Damon.

Also, I also found that the Ruger BX-25 magazine clips are far superior to Butler Creek and Black Dog high capacity magazines.

Remember this: Everytime I blink, you disappear.

I have already ordered an extractor, buffer, sear, hammer and trigger from Volquortsen. After firing a friend's 10/22 with the bolt release and extended mag release, I am not interested in those mods.

Not sure about the Hogue stock. I don't have any issues with the one it came with, and Hogue hasn't started making them for the takedown version anyway.

I don't like the banana style magazines. I ordered the triple clip for the 10 round magazine.

gotta have at least one 25 rounder around.

what nobody ever told you that every 10/22 needs a regularly scheduled maintenance mag dump?

okay, not really, but 25 round mag dumps is about the cheapest fun you can get with any firearm. so at least one...

I plan to try the river mag but I really like the clear butler creek for seeing how much ammo you have in the mag.

JYD #82 yup...

I got fully autos for that kind of fun.

JJ if your TD Ruger is anything like my old 10/22 it will really like the hyper velocity rounds.

I'll give them a try. I do see a lot of subsonic rounds in its diet though.

If it wasn't for you, I would have missed the first shipment and maybe the second since I had no clue this existed. So, I blame you for a lighter wallet, and now you want me to buy more expensive ammo. You hate me <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Years ago a friend got me a box of German made target rounds at 8$ a box sub sonic that worked real well in his Kimber rifle but not in my 10/22, i am guessing that the twist in the barrel works better for the faster round.

I read a few things similar to that on some forum. I will at least check them out. I will definitely fire them first to see if the stabalize before firing them through my suppressor.

Now this is something I would and am considering for a mag release replacement.
