I want to be able to carry when I have my BOB on and I think the extra wide padded hip straps will not allow me to carry on my belt. the padded strap has three lines of Molle webing though.

Check out an ALS with a Molle adapter if the hip belt has 3 strands on Molle webbing you are good to go.

Seems like there are options within the ALS holsters offered

Lots of options. They have adapter kits that fit nearly every ALS holster. One holster and multiple options for mounting/wearing it.

What level retention do you have? I would like a level2 but it looks like they are
Level three.

The ALS is a different system than my 6004 SLS. Nothing to add. ALS is a thumb switch/ button to release the gun. You can add security features like a hood but thats really unnecessary.

Depends on how you want to carry them.
