Two on the drop leg and then I would like to carry two on the belt for ccw. If its molle compatible that would be great

I find magazines mounted on the actual drop leg (shroud of body of the holster) to be almost unusable in a practical manner, have them on all my 6004s at some point. Think about trying to remove a magazine with your non-gunhand and you will see what I mean, the reach over/down is bad enough when you are just in a shirt but start adding layer of clothing, body armour/chest rig etc you are getting toward the work of a good contortionist. They will better serve you on your chest rig of offside. In addition to the problems getting them out also consider the issue highlighted above about the fatigue/discomfort already associated with a thigh rig (particularly when walking long distances) and consider the implications of adding MORE weight to that one point.

Don't take my comments as being a put down at all mate, just trying to save you walking the same wrong roads so many of us already have ....

I agree with Andy. Its very impractical to mount one on the thigh shround. Always put your reloads on the non gun side Belt or chest.

Drop leg holsters aren't great for distance travel. They also catch on everything, and the straps cramp "the boys".

I've used a Safariland 6004 in classes that required a secondary, and it is probably the best of the breed. You can position the holster as close to the belt line as your ruck or belt order allows, but its still a drop leg.

For "bugging out" I'd consider the excellent M12 issue holster. The M12 is slow on the draw, but protects the firearm and is bomb-proof. It will clip to virtually anything, and can be adapted to MOLLE use if desired.

+1

I prefer to have all "primary use" mags to be on the weak-hand side. "reserve" mags can be located on your strong side but these aren't for use in the thick. You move them over when you have time.

Think of your body as having two halves: strong and weak...

STRONG SIDE GEAR

Sidearm
Reserve Mags
IFAK

WEAK SIDE GEAR

Primary Mags
Water

It balances out, and positions stuff where it needs to be.

I'll also add....

1) The more weight you put in a thigh rig the more its going to suck. its already going to feel like a weight tied around your leg that swings when you run.

2) If you have so much crap you need to look for more real estate to stow it - you're not going to get very far.

Excluding your firearms you should try to limit your gear to:

30-40 pound ruck
15-20 pounds on your belt order and/or chest rig

This is a max for any distance or rough terrain. I hear people talk about how they can handle a 65 pound ruck. Well, what about when you're getting shot at? Do you want to hump that in addition to your ammo and firearms when someone is trying to kill you? I don't.

This is why "bugging out" is a bad idea. You simply cannot take enough gear with you. Yes, there are ways to resupply (caches, etc) however it should be your last ditch choice.

Stay home and defend.

GD think dual purpose for everything. Bailing on foot is a last resort. Unless its for a few days and return home.

Easy solution to this is to hit the quick release on your pack, let it fall and turn toward the enemy and kill them. Then you can walk away. These colors don't run from a fire fight.

In all seriousness, I agree with Arch. I don't put too much thought into bugging out though. I can tell you that I have never been on any combat patrols with a 65lb pack! That is ridiculous without taking into account what you may have strapped to your body armor plus weapons.
