Kydex is preferred but not the only option. Monkey bomb said that people drawing under stress have shot them selves when the finger pushing the lock slides into he trigger guard... Boom... I am trying to spend less than $100 dollars which makes the safariland holster out of my price range. The Blackhawk holsters can be found for less than 100

Most Glock UDs involving the holster occur when holstering the pistol not drawing, people forget to take their finger OFF the trigger and then the holster body forces the finger/trigger back.... BANG... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I did once see a couple of the "trained killers" have one back in 98 when they were putting a M22 back in the Glock box at the range, one was holding the box and the other putting the pistol in, it would not fit (the old Glock lunch boxes with the raised part that went through the trigger guard. when it would not drop in he realised the trigger was forward so rotated it in the box and pressed the trigger... round went through the box and the left hand of the guy holding it....

If you memorize fire arm safety rules with both your mind and your muscles, you shouldn't have any issues with your finger being on the trigger when it shouldn't be.

1. Treat every weapon as if it was loaded.
2. Never point a weapon at anything you do not intend to shoot.
3. Keep your finger off the trigger until you intend to fire.
4. Keep your weapon on safe, until you intend to fire. (with a Glock, rule 3 is your safety)

I just need to try a serpa at a local gun shop.

I've broken the spring in one Serpa, and never liked how loose guns fit in them.

A used Safariland can be had for $45 (USED condition) upward toward $75 (LIKE NEW condition).

I bought my 6004 for 65 bucks new a couple of years ago.

I would like to run a streamlight TLR or a insight on my g22 but the prices are encouraging.

MB, I've bought items from that retailer (Redcat Tactical). They're GTG.

GD, I have a couple of TLR-1's on Glocks and they are great lights. The newer versions have brighter and more efficient LED bulbs.

The people at Streamlight have spectacular customer service as well. I had an older TLR-2 (pre-LED) and wanted to pay them to upgrade it to the C-4 LED bulb. They wouldn't take any money to do this, and sent free new batteries back with the light! Of course, I mentioned that I had seven of their weapons lights when I called them....

Cool!!! I will try to find one to hold and if I like it I will buy it.
