Nice to hear that not only Finland is having strange laws! I would understand if they wouldnīt deliver laser swords but normal fixed blade knives! is the laser sword the next thing coming up?
This whole money thing gets in my way of aquiring all these knives...

A few years ago Aus Post announced that it would no longer carry "Firearm Parts"... no explaination at first, no consultation etc etc....it took about a year but they had to make a complete reversal of the idea after all the local/political pressure that was placed on them.

I have to see if it is possible to gather up enough pressure to make 'em change their ways. Pretty hard, when the biggest danish knife forum has only 2000 members, and only 1/4 of those members are active on the forum.

Itīs hard to gather people up here also. We Finns are not used to talk to each other. The common way of thinking is: Whatīs the point, it ainīt gonna help anyway".
Finnish post (nowadays Itella (what ever that means!)) has also refused to carry "firearm parts". No explanations, just like in Australia. Politics seem to be all con-firearm people so what can we do? I think itīs quite fashionable and trendy to opposite everything concerning guns... Sad.
Iīve said it before and I say it again: If they really think that banning will solve every problem why donīt they ban killing?

Rasmus, MAYBE have someone in a neighboring country accept the knife for you and you could drive across the border to get it, if it was close enough.

A fellow dog in Sweden helped me out. It is just annoying to have to go to bother him everytime I want a big knife...

Problem is, when you raise the issue with the postal service, you are treated like a criminal. IF you ever wanted to use a knife for bad deeds, it would be immensely stupid to order that knife over the internet. Well, enough complaint from me

I ordered one on the principle that I don't have a big chopper any longer, just the SODLE and a machete. Some medical things have reared its ugly head with the wife and me too so the fun stuff had to go. It is not over but I just could not pass up on it. Like Ish said, in my AO it is not the most practical but it is fun!

I hadn't considered it was just our AO not making a chopper the most practical choice....but you're right. We are still working on Dan to get him to come to Texas. Hopefully we can get the Ark-La-Tex (and Okies too) together soon for some steel. Hey Dan...let me know when you're coming, I'll make us some reservations: http://www.baconaustin.com/
