New here, and new to "real" knives, if you will. I came up on what I thought was a really good deal on a Dogfather and a Scrapper 6, so I bought them.

I had heard about Scrap Yard and Busse and Swamp Rat through various gun forums, but figured I would probably never drop too much money on a knife and that my Kabar USMC should suffice anyway... (i now see why this calls for some LOLs)

WOW- I went to pick the knives up and as soon as I held one of them I could see and feel the difference in an actual quality knife! My original intent was to buy both of them and sell one of them to make my money back, but I dont want to let either of them go! I also dont want to go chopping though stuff and damaging them though! I'll probably be happy if I do though...

These things feel like pure work horses and they look great, but not like a Mercedes looks great, they look great like an up-armored HMMWV looks great. Full of function and bad---ery, pure function, raw engineering, made to work.

If you couldnt tell, I'm pretty happy to have these knives. Im thinking ill put the dogfather in my bug out gear, and buy a nice sheath for my scrapper to carry everyday.

Welcome to the Yard, DK. You just happen to have two of the most coveted of all Scrappers, the S6 and Dogfather. Yes, they are plain Jane utilitarian serious working knives. Not the flash of a Buck with a Cocabola handle, but toughness that cannot be beat. You did well.

Congrats on your new DogFather and Scrapper 6. Now that's what I call a "Tag Team".

BTW, DK, if you look on the Scrap Yard Knife Co. website you will find a black Cordura sheath for that Scrapper 6. I don't know if you are going for practical tactical or pretty, but that sheath works fine.

Jeff law does my leather, but there are other custom sheath makers listed on the various Busse sites. I'm sure one of them can make you just the sheath you want.

I'm actually in Cali.

Am I allowed to ask how much these knives are worth? I asked on blade forum but they got a little upset about it.

Those are some mean knives. The S6 was what got me hooked on Scrapyard knives. Haven't managed to get one my way yet, though.
Well, beat those knives up the best you can.
And welcome to the Yard!
