I don't know how to describe INFI. It SEEMS soft when you are sharpening it, it sharpens up nicely and easily. But it holds an edge that you wouldn't think it would (Could) seeing as how easy it is to sharpen.

Great now I want an Infi Blade! Thanks man. Lol

DogTired
You answered the question perfectly. I was hoping it was heavier.
I like heavy blades. Big blades! I cut fish as a living for 5 years and my 14" blade is mostly what I used. After thousands of pounds of Ahi( Tuna) a big blades feels normal for me. When I use a 6-8" blade it feels a little out of place but good. I know packing in the feild is a whole other thing but I've carried a CS gurkha kukri for years to cut Keawe (a little harder that mosquite) and never really thought about the weight. For me personally weight is good. Not to much but a little extra is good. Well besides blade design. I'm no pro but know what works for my needs.

if you have a strong preference for sr77 wait for a good price and get it, sometimes getting known on the board and having an older dog take mercy on you can help shorten the wait. for me I prefer sr101 anyway and 2nd market battlerats are even more costly.

Ok guys how does the DF and Busse Basic 10 compare to eachother? I mean in chopping power. Is the B10 as thick as the DF?

My basic 10 choil and choil less models are really light weight. And are smaller than my rodent 9

Oh wow. I was thinking wrong. I guess the width and thickness on the DF is bigger both ways.
Well the Basic 10 was on my list but the DF is still top dog.

My basic 10 pair with serial numbers below 50 are safe queens. But they feel nice in the hand.

You preffer the DF over the Basics for chopping?
