I don't know how to describe INFI. It SEEMS soft when you are sharpening it, it sharpens up nicely and easily. But it holds an edge that you wouldn't think it would (Could) seeing as how easy it is to sharpen.

I like heavy blades. Big blades! I cut fish as a living for 5 years and my 14" blade is mostly what I used. After thousands of pounds of Ahi( Tuna) a big blades feels normal for me. When I use a 6-8" blade it feels a little out of place but good. I know packing in the feild is a whole other thing but I've carried a CS gurkha kukri for years to cut Keawe (a little harder that mosquite) and never really thought about the weight. For me personally weight is good. Not to much but a little extra is good. Well besides blade design. I'm no pro but know what works for my needs.
