I voted Kill Devil...but agree with Monkey Bomb, I will not get either most likely. Waiting on the Yard Version of Paul's Hatchet / Ratchet with Res-C and SR77!!!

Randy...Sounds like you're not too keen on the ELMAX. We need a more detailed review, sir....but this isn't the thread for it. Any chance you can post a new thread with your thoughts? Why kitchen only?

Man I wish I had had a proxy for the KD hawk! The sharpend inner hook on Rattle hawk looks like it could come back to bite you. And then you can't slide it in your belt! I think I NEED a KD!!!

I like the Kill devil and think it is very practical. I want the Rattle hawk for a few specific reasons. It looks like a great alternative entry tool. I can pry with it. Chop through a wall and the extended beard should make going through drywall much easier.

The biggest issue I see is the top is sharpened. That makes it a finger chopper. I will probably grind down most of the top blade so I can use it for my intended purposes.

I had thought about leaving it and making a double thick Kydex head cover. But i think thats inviting disaster. I really have a thing about keeping all of my appendages attached.

Both styles will be Black and Red/Black G10. Micarta is probably more practical but I like the color combo.

And the Kill Devil I scored. Still waiting on the shipment.

Do you know if they are differential heat treat? I suspect they are, but I am just curious.
