Been out of town for a few days on a much needed break to spend some quality time with the family. Spent one day on a hike with the kids to the top of the Chimney Tops in the Smokies. It's a nice strenuous hike and well worth it. Took some Busse Kin blades along for pics as well. Here's a few pics from the hike.

Here's the three Blades we took, Busse Basic 11, Swamp Rat RMD 6" Proto, and my Tanker Grey SS4.

And some pics from the trail.

Looking down at the parking lot from the top.

Pics of the kids near the top.

Another pic of the blades from the top.

And last but not least a new Busse Basic 9 I acquired from a fellow forum member, Thanks.
I didn't take this one along because I didn't have suitable pants for it yet, but I can't wait to take it along on another hike sometime in the near future.

Nice pics Jeff. I walked that trail the last time I was in the park. I remember it like yesterday....21 years ago. It's a great hike for those that are able. Keeps getting better the closer you get to the top. Definitely worth it.

Your right, the closer you get the better it is.

Just an FYI for anyone thinking about that particular hike, the trail is currently under going a long overdue overhaul. It's closed Monday thru Thursday for the next two seasons. I was lucky enough to find out just in advance of our trip, so we made plans to start early on a Sunday instead of waiting for mid week as originally planned.

Nice hike and Pics Jeff. Wish we had scenery like that around here. MAYBE after Patty gets fixed up we can take a hike through Elephant Rocks park.

Thanks, I was determined to pic a matching set that represented all three Busse kin. My collection is mostly a hodge podge of all the different colors and coatings, but I do have quite a few in my favorite, Tanker Grey and Black.

Yea, I was a little surprised at times just how rough the trail was, but we were determined to make it no matter what, and we were in no rush, so we took our time and enjoyed the walk. I have to admit though, after all that up and down, it took a few minutes to get used to flat level ground again!

Hey Jeff, doesn't look like the Rat or the Dog has ever been used! What's up with that?

LOL, Sure they have, they've been used to pattern sheaths.
