If you've never heard of chromatography, that process is often used to identify accelerants used in a fire (arson). It is a separation process.

The insulin process begins with E Coli.

Really? As a diabetic, you'd think I'd know that.

I should say..my facility starts the manufacturing process in E coli.

A specific protein chain is grown in the E coli, the chain is then extracted from the E coli, then chemically manipulated to eventually become identical to the insulin that your body produces.
