Hey Adam - ever find out what the noise was at you door? Nope, never did. Not a wink of sleep that night because of it. Wife and I were moving back from Florida, stopped at a hotel in Lafayette, LA...just off the I-10. The hotel had those rooms where there is a door between rooms, that is locked and has a restraint chain. Anyhow, some gang bangers decided they wanted our room to party in also. I woke up to the screams of my wife....looked up, a hand was reaching through the door, trying to disconnect the restraint chain. Pulled out the G19 and highlighted him with my StreamLight....yelled "Get the [censored] out, I will shoot"...repeatedly. I've never seen someone's eyes get that big and GTFO that quickly. We didn't hear a peep the rest of the night. Suffice to say...I didn't sleep either, and we departed around 4am for Austin.
