Got two Hummingbirds chasing each other away from the feeders. They spend more energy chasing each other than they can possible recoup with their tiny sips at the feeders.

About 3 years ago we had a Hummer that had no tail feathers! Funniest thing you ever saw but it sure didn't impede his flying ability any. We named him Bumper Butt.

Did 5 years in the Army, was being recruited for a brand new organization called Delta Force, but was tired of shooting. Decided to swap to the Air Force and did 17 years with them. For my last 12 years in the AF, I was in a Mobile Command and Control that was called the Airlift Command and Control Element (ALCE) then Tanker Airlift Command And Control Element (TALCE).

I worked in Airfield Management (Base Ops) except for the first two years as a bomb loader until my knees got shot crawling around on concrete all the time and my 4 years in Japan in the 5th AF Reconnaissance Operations Center We ran the PARPRO program for CINCPAC.

In the ALCE/TALCE we got to go to all the hot spots in the world. Do you remember seeing televised arrivals of "the first American troops" and notice it was a GI that was opening the doors of the aircraft? That was most likely one of us.

I got on the list for ALCE once and turned it down. Just more traveling than I wanted to do my last 3 years.

Was members of my unit that arraigned for Schwarzkopf's end run in the first Gulf War. Strange thing about H Norman, I had him as a Brigade Commander while I was in the Army and have a couple of letters from him.

I never met him but I sure did like his command style. I also really liked Powell. If he would of ran for president I would have voted for him.
