Which do you guys prefer and why? I'd go with res-c for dedicated slicers and choppers. After using TGLB & 711 for a comparison, res-c is impossible to beat for comfort and shock absorption. It's nice and grippy so will work fine with cutting/slicing. But for a go to knife I'd go with micarta. Even if the handle shifts from beating it still is better than when it breaks form beating on it.

The 311 blade is 3/16 inch thick, ok add a couple thousands for the coating, but the steel is 3/16.

Although I believe the Res-c handled knives are still functional even after they've lost the res-c. You could burn it off and paracord wrap it if it came to it.....

Oh and I forgot to say they are also engraved Cupidvore! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
I actually bought 3, reasoning someone down the line would need one and not have them available. Sure enough, a couple months ago (I think) I sold my spare off to Alaska so a Fellow Dog could give it to his daughter.

I've made profit on one blade, (I am sorry Dog) and after it was done I felt really bad about it. The rest have been what I paid plus postage.

I suspect it is not a misprint but a fatty for all the chubby chasers <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Kill Devil Hawk, Basic 11, 511, Ratmandu, Scrapivore Cool, you got a great start! Now you need to get a 311, and a Wardog at least. Oh and an S5.
