I am all over the 460. I have been testing the Spyderco Elmax mule. It has been doing well in the small amount I have done so far. Made well over 100, probably more like 200 cuts in cardboard. Was still easily push cutting phonebook paper. The Spyderco Elmax is averaging 58-59RC, which is Bohler's recommended hardness for a good mix of toughness and edge retention. However, with this bad boy being ground so thin I think the higher RC will be fantastic.

Howdy Steeley, how's school treating you? School went well for my first semester <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />. I got a 4.0 in my math class, and a 3.50 in my interpersonal communication class. Ended with a 3.78GPA total and got Presidents Honor Roll. So I was pretty excited for my first semester. I go tomorrow to figure out classes for this next semester. I am kinda scared again for some reason haha.

There have been many ask about Elmax steel. Here is an excerpt from my newest Tactical Knives magazine about the ZT 0560 and 0561. (Written by Anthony Lombardo)
ELMAX is a very impressive steel for a hard-use knife. Basically, in my testing and te testing of others, it is a stainless steel that behaves like the high-carbon tool steels but without he rust. This means it gets sharp, stays sharp, and can be easily resharpened. It is brutally tough-without the potential for much corrosion. It is quite possibly the optimum steel for a heavyweight tactical folder.
A product of Bohler-Uddeholm, the European steel conglomerate, ELMAX was originally developed for the manufacturing of high end injection molds in the precision plastics industry.
A third-generation powdered metal, ELMAX is also a high Vanadium steel with 3% added to the alloy blend.

Just waiting for my confirmation email from the ganza to see what I ended up with. Hopefully they had enough of the new ones to go around.
