bought a a walmart cheapy to keep ad a spare until I can find a decent rod for my other reel. figuring 3 rigs is a good number to work with. birthday just passed so I should be picking up some more gear this week.

I don't know much about rods now, But I do remember the "Ugly stick" being a pretty good pole. personally I like ultralight rigs. 2-4 pound test line on a lightweight pole. Unless I am meat fishing then I like 10-15 pound test, I don't want to mess around.

I am most thankful that my most embarrassing moments fishing are not on camera.
