Your folks still live there Luck? We try to go back every 2 to 3 years, I ended up building a house there 3 years and my parents may move back. Any good knives come out of Thailand?

Well, I was just outside watering plants and I used my 9-11 to chop a few weeds...SWEET! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> How does it compare to the Dogfather? The 9-11 is lighter, thinner, and quicker than the DogFather. It is practically a twin to the BattleRat, the choil being the big difference. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I've heard of a couple area that are supposed to have some, kind of like seki city Japan, but not as big. I haven't checked it out yet

If you have any or access to any, check out back issues of Blade magazine, withing the last 6 months. I THINK it has had an article or two about Thailand knife manufacturing.

I seem to recall an article about a Thai knife-maker who uses old leaf-springs for blades.
