ahh... another day of fishing failures... the next fish I catch is gonna have cost have cost me about a hundred bucks.

but man I wish I knew what kind of fish the boy is that trolls back and fourth every morning. I swear he pays me so little I can almost grab him a some points.

ahh! just googled buffalo fish... think that's what he is. a big mouth buffalo fish...

If its a buffalo you won't catch him. Unless you snag him. Then wait for a fight.

was thinking I wasn't going to be able to catch him so i could leave it alone. he's almost like a pet since he's the only thing I see every morning. but then i just read they will go for nightcrawlers as well as some other stuff. man he just ignored my night crawlers like it's nothing. kinda irrates me and think i want that sucker on a plate now.

trolls 4-8 feet off the bank. can just about poke him with my if I want to at times. with the rain he was right by a log i could put my foot and stand inchs above him. he's going to mess around and show up one day when I desperate to catch something.

just going down the list of ways to get him... net, spear, club, rock, etc... may have to lash up the jack hammer to a stick and dive in after him.

think I will try a dough bait first. never hurts to learn something new.

We used to see schools of Buffalo carp in a river. Huge fish. Never got a single one interested in anything we threw at them.

have only eaten buffalo. my mom used to pick some up from time to time. if I recall they have bones everywhere. had no idea they would be in this lake.

would much rather catch one of his catfish buddies that troll around with him. when I get there early enough they are still sitting up in water so shallow you can see the fins sticking up. decent sized fish... always where I'm not and never getting on my hooks.

I miss catfishing. That used to be a good time. They really don't have many around here and the ones that are here are tiny.

nobody seems to getting the catfish at this one spot. so far everybody I talk to is getting bream and large mouth and small mouth bass. I got about a 3 pound bass and a breakfast sized bream first real trip out. a tiny little bream a couple weeks ago and forgot to set my hooks on a couple bass on the the other smaller lakes.
