I would have preferred that at that age. They cut me orders for Riley when I was due to re-up and I bailed.

Was told to volunteer for a newly forming anti-terrorist org or don't bother to re-enlist. Was tired of the shooting life by then, my long time spotter suicided was final straw., so I joined the air force

Probably the best decision I ever made. I have been very licky and fortunate to be able to have done the things I have and it would appear I have more adventures ahead of me in this career.
But when I retire from this I will doing nothing in this field of work. I know I have taken years off my life already and I will try the low stress life when I pull the plug.
