Thanks guys. We found out Thursday that there IS a surgeon locally (within 25 miles) that does specialize in this type surgery. Sure beats having to drive 150 miles two or three times for it.

We may not have to go to St. Louis after all, Patty may be able to have her surgery done locally. But her kidneys are only functioning at 43 percent and the Doctor is going to try and keep that from decreasing. It seems a congenital birth defect in her kidneys has "Eaten up" some of her kidney tissues. Sorry to hear all of that and I hope everything turns out ok. A plus to there being a local docor.
