If you really want to hear it ... three friends have put a gun to their heads in the last few months. So, I fight and drink to avoid crying. That is sad, and something that should bring tears. We are all free to make decisions about ourselves and they made theirs, whether right or wrong. Please don't take their path!

I had to do an on air interview today, the whole time I was thinking about my friends and how I just wanted to punch the reporter for asking stupid questions. I hate stupid people. The media is always so superficial and just trying to spin everything as unique or sensational. Most of the time, I don't think they are much of an asset. The rest of the time, I am sure they are not an asset!

JJ, Everyone deals with stress in different ways. The "Trick" is finding a way for each of us individually that is not also destructive. You don't have to tell me that. I have my own coping methods, but my friends seem to think there is no other way. Stupid, and if they were here, I'd kick their asses. JJ its's OK to be mad at them. Its even more OK to be sad. I'm sure your not the only one that is hurting because of the choices your friends made. They surely have families that they left behind and you are all sad. Just know that your not alone. You've got the gang here in the yard. I know that doesn't help with missing your friends but only time is going to help that. You just have to get through this one day at a time. Thats where your friends and family come in. In the yard I think you'll find a little of both.

Thanks guys. I just needed to say it. I am dealing with it OK. I have been in contact with their families and that is pretty rough. When a mom asks about the last conversation I had with her son ... it is pretty hard to keep dry eyes.

At least you could talk with her and tell her he was your friend and you could share memories. I am sure she felt better because of that.
