Soccer?

I learned to love it as a kid in Germany. We have a passionate fan base in KC and supposedly one of the largest participation rates for kids in the nation.

I think people expect our national teams will dominate in everything, but I think when we do win, it is that much sweeter.

Oh soccer, the kick ball game. I am kidding.

Of course the US Women's (soccer) team is dominant, and with good reason, but the world is catching up.

Maybe they should add dodge ball to the games.

One area that I would love to see change is the emphasis on diving in soccer. It is considered an art, but to me is really degenerate. It is frequently mentioned as a reason Americans dislike the sport.

Odd that a British invention would not value the "stiff upper lip."

Soccer is big here in Stl too, especially with the prep schools and Saint Louis uni being a national college contender, they keep talking about getting a MLS team, but not yet
