Oh soccer, the kick ball game. I am kidding. One area that I would love to see change is the emphasis on diving in soccer. It is considered an art, but to me is really degenerate. It is frequently mentioned as a reason Americans dislike the sport. Odd that a British invention would not value the "stiff upper lip." It is like a flop in Basketball or pass interference in Football. It is basically legal cheating.

Soccer is big here in Stl too, especially with the prep schools and Saint Louis uni being a national college contender, they keep talking about getting a MLS team, but not yet I am really surprised St. Louis didn't already get one. Next up for MLS sounds like either Minnesota, or elevating one of the minor league franchises in Florida (like what they did with the Sounders).

i want to see a 1000 yard rifle match added to the games. I made a mini-run last night about using knives in the Olympics. This sounds like some of my ideas!

We couldn't even support a minor league without the large Serb/Croat population. Those guys are fanatic soccer fans

They should start fining money for flopping and diving I think the larger problem is you only have 3 levels of penalty. Common fouls which are nothing. Yellow cards which are nothing unless you are foolish enough to draw 2. And the death penalty, the red card. An orange card, which would make you sit out for 2 minutes or so, would be a great addition. As it is, the referee is almost forced to let tons of really bad stuff go by.
