how is sales this year.... good bad same

will say it again... ask if they can work with you on the price first. I have saved guys hundreds of dollars just for asking. on the otherhand I told a few guys to go buy it somewhere else. if it's price you want you will never be a loyal customer.

to me this is why busse kin knives companies are succesful... customers pay for tools rather than bargain shop for toys...

i am willing to pay for quality. but i hate people that want to make more than a fair profit

not my primary line lf work any more but sales are down. ebay along with internet stores have driven the profits out of selling anything. customers chase cheapest prices while companies burn up credit to sell products just abouve or at cost. there is no loyalty... when customers buy blind (Internet informed) they buy the wrong stuff. they turn around and eBay it. since they bought it for the stores cost the sell it under cost. the store just shot themselves in the foot for unloual customers....

but what's a fair profit? too many consumers think they know. too many companies are willing to shoot themselves in the foot.

a good example is remanufactured products that hit he markets now. company rushes a product to market, product is crap, the fix the problem and send the old products out the door with the new to maximize their profits. customers see a products just a few clicks away and very few see a difference. $100 vs. $75... So now this product is only worth $75... Businesses selling new product end up loosing money selling at cost which is still over $75.

I'd say that if I want it and can afford it, I'll buy it... if I can't afford it, I move on... But if someone's asking a ridiculous price, good luck getting my money

fair is.... employes get paid enough quality stays high and the company grows at a good rate and stays in the USA.

I always buy quality. But I don't throw money at people. I get my moneys worth.

that's a tall order... won't get into ceo's and banking. will say a business makes these people plenty of money regardless of how well they do.

I hate it but very few incentives in that model...
