I like makers and knob creek but one day I want a amazing one and just haven't found it yet. However when I came back from Iraq in 2004 Jack Daniel's hooked us up with some single barrel and I still have a bottle sitting in the cabinet that is form then. It came with a sweet placard that thanked us. pretty cool of them.

Maker's 46 is brilliant. I would put it against any whisky out there.

I figure if I don't at least get a few posts a day I'll never make it to 1000. No runs for this dog, but at least need to get involved in the fun chats. I figure a lot, if not most, of the ones who made a "run" recently will fall silent after they get their FDM. I don't blame them for their sudden inspiration. I think that is what Dan was going for - et more people posting and increase awareness of his brand. I am in marketing and understand that. I hope we get a few new "good" dogs out of the deal. I hear you. Trying to juggle Here, USN, BF, the Swamp, etc. gets a little taxing of my free time. Less time to use my knives, so most my forum time is daytime short attention and wee hours a bit more time, but greater mistakes in spelling.

Too be honest, I'm not sure I'd want an engraving even if I could get one. I have enough trouble using these knives without the personalization.

I think that definitely brought a lot of us here but at the same time. I own many Scrap yard blades already. I just hung out mostly on bladeforums. hopefully not to many people just sign up to get the blade and then don't post.

I think I said this before but the same thing happened with the 300,000 post patch That is what got Randy and I started

USN? You Navy? I don't make time to use knives no more than I make time to use a screw driver. Just sayin'

I've just about given up on knife boards other than here. Just doesn't do me any good to keep desiring things I can't get.
Here is more about people than knives and I like that.
