Me and plumbing don't get along. I replaced the wax ring under my toilet last week and it took me two trips to Lowes Hardware and about an hour of my time to do it. I'd have come out better to have paid a plumber, I believe.

Sometimes it's better to just bite the bullet and hire it done.

And a lot of times it's easier on the nerves as well.

I'm pretty handy... Recently renovated a studio apartment, took everything off, including tiles all carpets, kitchen, toilet... the place was bare afterwards. Then I've tiled the bathroom and kitchen, put in a plaster wall, built in wardrobe, new kitchen... had electrician replace the fuse box and move a bit of cabling, plumber came to re-install the water heater and put the toilet on and floating floors were installed by some guys because i didn't want to buy power tools I'd only use once. the rest was done by me <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

I get frustrated.

I'd just as soon take a whipping as do plumbing stuff or electrical stuff. I can handle a hammer or a saw, but once it gets over that it's over my head.

Oh, and I don't do heights. I'm terrified of heights.

Heights don't really bother me. But they sure do scare Patty, even when it's ME up there!
