Im a bit bummed. I was origionally going to get 3 of the large and 3 of the small elmax in the ganzaa. Then I changed it to one of each and one of the axes. Then I changed my mind again and changed it to 2 axes and no elmax. Then I changed my mind again and was in the process of typing up a email that said that I wanted one axe and 2 each of the elmax. Unfortunatley in the middle of typing Jerry made his GO GO GO thread and the only e-mail I had prepared with all the info needed was the one for the 2 Axes.
Looks like Ill be getting the 2 axes and I got my email in and confirmation of it fast so I woulda nailed those Elmax as well... bleh
Anyone know if there are any other ways to get hands on some elmax or was the shot given to the ganzaa the whole batch?
I didnt read all the posts in this and if this has been answered already, my bad. Im gonna go back and read em all while I wait for one of you Flea-bitten hounds to respond.
Thx
Rob

They have been showing up on Exchange. Not sure If they are going to release these in the store. Plus they still have to release the 411 and DT's MOAD.
I have never hunted an animal, but Ill make an exception for Micheal Vick! JYD#124

Thanks to all that complimented my score.
To all who have inquired about an "extra". I don't have a spare of any. I only ordered what I needed and no extras. Best luck in scoring one as you search. They are very good knives for food prep and so much more.

Yep, Elmax.
Very good stuff. High-tech and praised a bit higher than any hype. It's a powdered metal and is stainless. Neat stuff.
For me, so far, it's doing very well at everything I want from a blade steel. Takes a sharp edge, keeps a sharp edge and so on.
Everyone should try an Elmax knife for themselves. If its not for you, someone else will gladly assist in giving it a new home.
When I learned about these at Blade I already knew a bit about Elmax and was excited when Dan said he was releasing thin slicers in this steel. Then...Saw them and thought skinny, stainless War Dog HACK, had to get these and any others the Yard may release in the future.

tbdoc4kids when you gonna make your run? I am making it in segments. I have coin 176, and would love to time it out to that, but don't think I can or should wait that long.

Hi folks! I am a knife fan from Europe and a just not so new here. I have some SY and SR knifes but BADLY need to buy some SY SCRAPMAX 460!!! A lot of people in my country think that Busekins can only made sharpened pray-bars, so I will be happy to show them this nice slicer! I think to use it for skinning and butchering big game, not for chopping and buttoning. For this I have ma axes and larger blades. I do not know what GANZA means, and how to order this knife, just read that the cost is about 90 USD in Ganza. I see some one sell them for 240-250USD on ebay and this is crazy for me. I am ready to pay 90 usd for 2 of them right now and wait 6 months if is needed to get them, so PLEASE help me to order SCRAPMAX 460!!!

Just forgot to ask - I hear that there will probably never be an actual run of these knives - SCRAPMAX 460, because of warranty issues. What is this mean? Just rumors or what?

So far the Scrap Yard ELMAX knives have been in very limited numbers and can not be ordered because there are none left. However, there's a rumor that Dan Busse has made a large purchase of ELMAX steel so there will almost certainly be more models/configurations to come. Just be sure to check this forum every so often.
