I also do like the square choils, they work just as good as round ones. Maybe Dan could fill us in on the reasoning behind them.....when he's not in the lab creating the FDM!!!

If you look through the gallery, there's a good mix of square and round. Not sure, but I think the Yard and Swamp often use similar blades on their releases--9-11 is the same shape as the Rodent 9 for instance. Maybe it's to help differentiate the different companies with similar releases? That doesn't really hold up too well considering the M6 and Scrapper 6 both have round choils...

Dunno. Maybe just to shake things up and get us posting crazy threads? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I wish round choils were used instead. I don't think they're any more difficult to manufacture. Square choils are not particularly comfortable and will wear out your finger pretty quickly. you also have a much higher chance of coming into contact with the edge and cutting yourself with a square choil. I end up rounding out most of mine. Ill probably do it on my 711 I just got.

Hey KalEl! Nice to see you here <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> And yes, I agree. Rounded are much nicer.
