I am curious if this will be 1/4 or 3/16 thick, either way I am fine, this will be one sick chopper.

I think that is the reason why it is Sabre ground. It'll fill the shoes of a machete, yet will have enough behind the edge for some hardcore chopping. If it was 1/4"+ I'd want it to be FF or near flat convey grind, like the 11 series. For anyone that has not held a CG DF, it is quite forward heavy. Not to a fault, but adding 3"+ to a blade nearly as thick as the DF might be, especially with the Sabre grind.

I think it's just an illusion, but the picture makes the blade shape look like it is shorter at the handle and slightly taller at the belly. Am I the only one that sees this? It looks like a machete a little bit, at least from that angle.

I am hoping this badboy is thin too. Really don't need another big thick one. Besides we have the 911 out for that

Man, I'm really liking this one. It doesn't have the Regulator handle I was hoping for, but I'll gladly "settle" for this one. I don't know about y'all , but I hope it's not available to order for a couple of weeks. I need to catch up on some bills first. Well I was really hoping this was going to be my Grail knife outlined in my sig line, so I am a bit disappointed. I really think that the Regulator handle would be great on a large knife. Maybe Dan has done some testing to indicate the ergonomics aren't there like I think they are. That said I will still try at least one. | | |

Of course, the ONLY day this week that i'm gone all day with no access to the Yard, and THIS is the day the unveiling occurs!
Words can't describe just how awesome that blade looks. Definitely put me on the list for one!

The specs will be very interesting.
