I could live with a SYKCO Hawk.
The knife (Negrito Hunting Bolo) might well be 5160 steel, I have no idea. yes you could take the handle material off (water buffalo hide) but the tang is nothing more than a round rod, possibly welded onto the blade, or attached some way or other.
I had actually thought about getting it heat treated, but don't think I will. It has character and a history just the way it is. If I changed anything it would change the history (and pleasure/fun) behind it, at least for me.
SO she is gonna just stay the way she is.

As for it maybe being a Axe I brought that up ... cant remember if it was in here or in the Discussion thread.
I would be happy with an axe, however a certain squirrel might have to be put on deathwatch .............

I can see em now all holed up in a house..Jerry with the new INFI katana and Dan with a Scrapizashe pacing back and forth. Garth , Beef and Alan among others as well as the ladies pulling guard duty.....
