I have not taken a bear. But, my cousin (with whom I was hunting) has taken down a few.

I will eat the meat though. That area in particular was full of berries. So, maye it would taste good

Very beautiful back country. The time I tried bear meat I did not like it. If I were starving or settled in for a winter and needed meat I would not turn it down but I much prefer the taste of elk.
