LOL. Yep. Sigh.......

I just need to chill out and take my vengeance tomorrow. I try to live by the bible.....Conan 3:16

Like was said, the rust could have been gotten rid of in numerous ways, one is by using on something harder (like wood) than meat and veggies.

HOPEFULLY he has learned his lesson, but by the knife not costing him anything, perhaps not.

How old is your brother? If he is anywhere between the ages 5-12, this may be explained by that... Horrible!

Might make for a fun 'project knife'. Other than that, yikes! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/barf.gif" alt="" />

He's 23 and he says he was trying to get a sharpened swedge then just went overboard and went to get a tip and a shallow angle. I gotta say he did make a nice edge and tip. I sharpened it and it gets sharper better than before.
But yea he's learnt his lesson. His next project is a kabar zombie killer famine.

at least its not busse kin. and i hope he bought this one not you. does he know he can ruin a blades temper and make nothing but a normal peice of steel. if he want to try to grind a knife tell him to use a old lawn mower blade or something cheap and free. when he gets good he can learn how to temper steel and make his own knives
