Wow, you guys get to carry some fun stuff. My EDC is limited to SAK, though I do supersize and go with a Champ. IPhone and a little torch usually round it off.

I carry the Super often as a 3rd blade. Wicked sharp and ready if needed. Wave deployment is a win. If it were a framelock and not a liner, it'd be even better. The grip on the Super is about 5 1/4" long. I do not own a Combat for comparison. I do own the little La Griff fixed blades. I can do a photo with those together w/ the Super if you want. Here's the Super on a measuring tape w/ coins for scale perspective and a pencil pointing just shy of 5 1/4", the rough estimate of overall handle length. ![[Linked Image from i1243.photobucket.com]](http://i1243.photobucket.com/albums/gg552/_Need2Know_/photo-1483.jpg) If you know how to employ a Karambit, not just flip, twirl and whirl, you can be one bad dude. Gravity assisted bloodletting. Nuff said. The handle on the Combat Karambit measured as you measured the super is 4 1/2 inches on the nose according to my craftsman tape measure. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

While at work I usually have the Rodent solution. Its about as big as I can go without getting the "look". On some field jobs I have carried the HRLM. No guns at work, but the HK45C in its Safepacker accompany me to and from. ![[Linked Image from i947.photobucket.com]](http://i947.photobucket.com/albums/ad312/DHOOKER2/workcarry.jpg)

For casual carry in the summer, I like the MBC and the KAHR PM9. ![[Linked Image from i947.photobucket.com]](http://i947.photobucket.com/albums/ad312/DHOOKER2/casualcarry.jpg)

When I feel a need for a little bigger caliber during summer carry, I take the .40S&W G27 and a Benchmade 741 Onslaught. ![[Linked Image from i947.photobucket.com]](http://i947.photobucket.com/albums/ad312/DHOOKER2/readycarry.jpg)

Hi JB, Yeah I'm in Blighty, where having a knife means you're a criminal thanks to our wonderful media.
I love going to the USA (only just got back in fact) but I sometimes worry about concealed carry and different state laws.
It's crazy when you can't carry a basic tool for everyday use. More humans are killed by cars than knives but no-one wants to ban them.
Sorry for getting OT.

I hear ya CB ! Yes its crap with the UK carry laws! One should be able to edc a locker as it's a lot safer blade than a slip joint! Are you a member on the British Blades forum? It's quite a friendly bunch of guys! Anyways im on Jersey, about a hundred miles south of the south coast of Blighty : ) Good to see another Brit on here by the way ; )
