The coin is in the background so it will appear smaller. The blade in the foreground appears larger. So you are not going to get a good result.
You should research Scale in photos. I bet I can come pretty close. Ill never know however till someone gives me an exact measurement of the coin Did you look at this post? My coin is 2" exactly in diameter the name of the pic is SYKCO 1311 so I think that's a pretty good clue to the size <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> 2 inches across. Ok and it looks like 7 and 3/4 of a coin will cover the blade. Considering the angles messing wiht things a bit it looks like 14 inch blade with 13 inch edge...1 inch choil.

Still ...somthings not right. Even with the wierd angle in consideration it seems longer .
Oh well no matter we know that at a minimum itll be 13 inches. Me be happy.

But are all of those knives a little bigger bladed than stated and the servicable edge is the number specified? IE is the blade on the 711 actually 73/4 to 8 ish from handle to tip making it 7 inches of edge minus whatever the choil is..or are they exactly 7 inches from handle to tip?
